Exploring Central Florida Comic-Con 2024 — Day 1

I should’ve applied for a media pass, but c’est la vie… CFCC was bigger this year compared to the previous years.

It’s almost 11:30 AM and I finally make it to the venue, the RP Funding Center, that’s hosting CFCC 2024. I wanted to arrive earlier but I’m between cars right now so I opted to take the morning bus, though the schedule is different on the weekends.

This year’s CFCC is bigger than the last two CFCCs that I attended, respectively in 2021 and 2023 (I had to miss CFCC 2022 because of a broken arm from Judo practice), in the past. The company that holds the events, Nerd Street LLC, booked an additional room for additional guest panels.

As I enter through one of the building’s main entrances, it’s an exercise as I have to head across the hallway to another room where I’m directed to another hallway which takes me to the main room where I pick up my bracelet (which is my event pass).

The number of attendees is higher this year, too, especially with the special guests that were secured for CFCC 2024. I knew the guests were big but I didn’t realize how big when there were lines that flowed from one room and into the hallway.
