Exploring Central Florida Comic Con 2025 — Q&A With Emily Swallow
A small panel with Amara aka The Darkness, the Armorer, etc.
Sorry for the delay, I’m so f–king backlogged on my articles.
Yay, I can work on pieces related to Day 2 of Central Florida Comic Con 2025 (CFCC 2025). I was supposed to complete this by the end of January or mid-February. Still, my Taekwondo master asked me to return to teach the after-school classes from Monday to Friday and occasionally teach the night classes depending on the number of students who show up.
That’s stacked onto my political obligations, too. Oh well…
Day 2 kicked off with the morning panel with actress Emily Swallow. There weren’t many in attendance at the panel, which is likely because of the Martin Luther King Day parades across Polk County that morning. For those not familiar with Emily, she’s known for playing Amara aka The Darkness from Supernatural and the Armorer from Star Wars: The Mandalorian.
Emily attended an academically-focused college prep school and attended college in Virginia where she majored in Middle Eastern Studies. She joked about how it segued into acting, but planned to enter the Foreign Service. Emily also interned at the Foreign Service Institute.
