Exploring Central Florida Comic-Con 2024 — Those Who Capture Magic
At conventions and festivals, the photographers and videographers provide an invaluable social service by “capturing the magic.”
During day 2 of Central Florida Comic-Con 2024, which was held from January 20 to January 21, I paid more attention to a couple of people in attendance.
I paid close attention to two specific people that day, a videographer and a photographer, who took the task of “capturing the magic.” The convention scene has a unique magic because it allows attendees to interact with fellow fandom lovers, their favorite actors, their favorite artists, and so on.
Conventions give attendees opportunities to buy their favorite fandom-related merchandise, items that you normally don’t come across. Even though you can get fandom-themed merchandise at a majority of stores today, what if those stores aren’t easily accessible where you live?
These events allow, even encourage, attendees to dress us as anything from their favorite fandoms.
