If Not Biden, There’s Still The Rest Of The Ballot

I understand your reluctance to support Joe Biden after the first presidential debate. If you don’t want to vote for the U.S. President, vote on the rest of the ballot.

I volunteered at a voter phone bank a couple of Friday nights ago. The event was hosted by the non-partisan organizations Equal Ground and the League of Women Voters though most of the members unofficially lean towards the left. Officially they’re not allowed to tell you which candidate to vote for. The representative from Stand United briefed us on what to do when we called the people (those who registered to vote via mail) on the lists we were given.

Since I live in Florida, we’re instructed to inform voters to reapply for that status each year because of a recent Florida State Senate bill passed into law. The Stand United represented gave invaluable advice: don’t choose “not to vote” if you don’t like either of the main candidates.

There’s still the rest of the ballot to consider.

By choosing NOT to vote, you’re hurting all the candidates down the ballot. He added that it feels insulting when people DON’T vote because of what they see on TV such as the previously televised first U.S. presidential debate…
