Oooh, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection’s Bringing Back Norimaro!

He’s still a Japanese port exclusive BUT you can switch between regional ports.

It was the Spring of 1997 and I was reading the latest issue of a video game magazine to kill time before 9th-grade physical science class. That month’s issue had an article on Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. I knew there would be a crossover between the two franchises but it was a matter of “when.”

Capcom’s Marvel fighting game franchise began with X-Men: Children of the Atom and was followed by Marvel Super Heroes. We received X-Men vs. Street Fighter shortly after which wasn’t a surprise because X-Men: COTA had Akuma as a secret character.

It was only a matter of time before Capcom rolled out with MSH vs. SF.

The article had one thing that CAUGHT my attention, “Norimaro.”

Norimaro is a joke character introduced to the game’s roster but I was disappointed that he was only available in the Japanese version.
