When we thought that Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes wouldn’t see the light of day again, especially since the Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Comics, we were wrong in the end. Capcom revealed a trailer for the upcoming launch of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics which compiles X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash Of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, and The Punisher.
Even before the news was announced, the mod community had spent the past couple of years modifying the PC port of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and giving it the “M.U.G.E.N.” treatment, made possible with Gneiss’ “Clone Engine.”
